She Leans Over For A Better Angle And Gets Caught
Not satisfied with the view from where she was standing so she leaned sideways to get a better look. Got caught mid-lean. Embarrassment and amusement in equal parts.
About this scene
Grocery store aisle, mid-afternoon. She's reaching past another shopper for a product on a high shelf. Her body is leaned out, balance on one foot. The flash is in her eye line as she stretches. She lingers in the leaning position about three seconds longer than the reach actually requires. She gets the product, sets it in her basket, and walks past him without making eye contact. The reach was the moment she chose to use.
What to watch for
The extended lean is the small theft. She had what she needed at the two-second mark. She held the lean for three more seconds. Most product reaches are efficient. Hers stretched. The other shopper she's reaching past does not notice. The basket gets the product. The walk-away is at her original speed and she does not look back. About thirty feet down the aisle she switches the basket to her other hand and you can see her smile without looking up.
