Big-box store aisle, weekday afternoon. She is a young girl, twenties, browsing. The flash is at her three o'clock. She does the cold-acting thing for three full seconds, pretending she didn't see it. Three seconds is a long time. By the four-second mark her face has given up and she is no longer pretending. The transition happens in real time and you can pinpoint the frame where her composure breaks.
What to watch for
The three-second pretense is unusual for its length. Most pretenders break in under one second. She holds for three. The break itself is small but visible. The corners of her mouth move first. Then her eyes drift toward the angle. Then her body rotates a half-degree in that direction. Each step is a small surrender. By the end of the clip she has stopped pretending entirely and is openly watching with no apparatus. She does not approach. She just stops hiding the watching.
