Girl Behind The Counter Can’t Keep A Straight Face
She tried to stay professional. She really did. But her lips kept twitching and she finally broke into a full grin she couldn’t control. Customer service face officially gone.
About this scene
Convenience store counter, mid-afternoon. She's the cashier, twenties, working alone. He's the customer at the counter with the flash in plain view. She is trying to keep her professional face. She tries hard. The lower half of her face goes first, the smile pushing through despite her efforts. Her eyes are still in customer-service mode but her mouth has already left the chat. The transaction takes thirty seconds and she gives back the wrong change.
What to watch for
The face-control failure is the entire video. Her mouth gives her away before her eyes do. She does the math wrong on the change and corrects it on the second pass. Listen to her voice. It cracks once on the word receipt. The smile breaks fully right before he leaves the counter and you can hear her exhale a small laugh through her nose as she's looking down at the register. The next customer in line gets a perfectly composed greeting.
