She Covers Her Friend’s Eyes But Keeps Watching Herself
Put her hand over her friend’s face saying don’t look don’t look while she herself was staring the whole time. The hypocrisy was hilarious and her friend called her out on it.
About this scene
Public space, two female friends, late afternoon. The flash happens at their shared sight line. One of them slaps her hand over her friend's eyes in a protective gesture. Then she does not remove her hand. The friend cooperates by not pulling the hand away. Meanwhile the eye-coverer is still watching, her own eyes very much uncovered. The hand stays in place for almost a minute. The covered friend stands patiently with her vision blocked.
What to watch for
The hypocrisy is the punchline. She is performing protective concern while being the one who keeps watching. Watch her uncovered eye. It does not blink at a normal rate. It tracks the angle for the duration. The covered friend tries to peek under the palm twice and gets gently pushed back into compliance. After a full minute the hand finally drops. Both of them look at the ground for two beats and then start laughing.
