About this scene
Drive-thru window. He pulls up, she leans out to take payment, the angle catches the BBC across the lap. She processes the card, hands him his change, and tells the next car at the speaker that she's taking break. She unties her apron in the car. The encounter runs twelve minutes. When she comes back the apron is back on and her name tag is straight. The drive-thru queue has moved exactly one car forward in her absence.
What to watch for
The break announcement is the moment of decision. She presses the headset mic, says the line in a perfectly normal voice, and walks away from the window before her manager can answer. Watch the order monitor in the background. There are three cars queued. None of them get served for the next twelve minutes. She comes back with her apron retied and the angle of her ponytail slightly different, and she takes the next order in the same voice she used to announce the break.
