Mature Woman Holds A Magazine Up And Watches
Held the magazine up like a prop but her eyes were over the top of it the entire time. She wasn’t reading a single word on those pages.
About this scene
Big-box store aisle, weekday afternoon. She is a mature woman, fifties, holding a magazine about home gardening. She is holding it up at chest height. The page she is on has not turned in over a minute. The bulge is across the aisle. The magazine is the cover and the cover is not working. She is not actually reading. She is using the cover for the angles she can see over the top.
What to watch for
The static page is the visible cover failure. Real magazine readers turn pages every fifteen to thirty seconds. She has not turned this page in seventy seconds and counting. Watch her hands on the magazine. They have shifted grip twice but the page has not moved. The eye angle is over the top of the magazine, not at the page. By the end of the clip she has finally turned a page, but not the one after the page she had been on. She skipped ahead five pages randomly to make it look like she had been reading.
