Blonde Trying On Shoes Gets More Than She Expected
Crouched down looking at shoes on the bottom shelf, which put her right at eye level when she turned around. Her face went from casual to wide-eyed in a split second.
About this scene
Shoe store, mid-afternoon. She is a blonde, twenties, sitting on a bench trying on shoes. One shoe on her foot, the other still in the box on her lap. The flash is across the floor at another bench area. She looks up at the mirror in front of her. The mirror reflects what is behind her. The angle in the mirror is exact. She does not turn around. She just watches through the reflection for almost two minutes.
What to watch for
The mirror as the medium is the structural element. She never has to turn around. She can watch without giving away that she is watching. The mirror gives her plausible deniability if she is asked what she is doing. She is just looking at her own shoes, technically. Watch her foot in the trying-on position. It does not move for the two minutes. She has stopped fitting the shoe. The salesperson eventually approaches and she has to break the mirror watching to engage. The other shoe is still in the box.
