She comes around the corner with a shopping bag in each hand. He's already mid-flash by the home goods endcap. She doesn't look away, doesn't speed up, doesn't pretend she didn't see it. She slows her step, switches both bags to one hand, and asks a question nobody asks an actual stranger in a mall. Three minutes later he's two steps behind her on the way to the public bathroom near the back corridor. The whole thing takes under eight minutes start to swallow, and she walks out adjusting her hair like nothing about her morning has changed.
What to watch for
The handoff happens at the door. She pushes it open with her hip, holds it just long enough to make sure he follows, and lets it close behind them with the bags still in her grip.
