About this scene
Part two of a three-clip parking lot car flash series. In part one she walked away. This time she comes back, and her first move is to lean further into the open window than she did before. Her bag goes on the ground next to the wheel. Her elbows go on the door frame. The questions are gone. So is the small talk. She just looks for a long beat, then she asks if he wants help with something, and the answer doesn't really matter because she's already opening the door.
What to watch for
The bag on the ground is the closing argument. In part one she carried it the whole time. In part two she puts it down within ten seconds. That's the difference between a tease and a commitment. The door handle is what to watch after that. She pulls it from the outside while still leaning in through the window, which is awkward on purpose. She wants him to notice she's the one opening it.
