About this scene
Bookstore, narrow aisle between fiction and reference. She's Asian, mid-twenties, in a sweater and leggings, browsing slowly with one finger on the shelves. She walks past once at normal speed. Two aisles down she stops, doubles back, and re-enters the same aisle from the other end. Her angle this time has her facing him directly. She browses for another twenty seconds, not looking at any specific book, then walks past at half her original speed.
What to watch for
The doubling back is the commitment moment. She does not pretend it's a navigation mistake. She comes back specifically to be in that aisle. The second pass is twice as slow as the first. Watch her finger on the shelves. It barely touches the spines. She is not actually looking at books. By the end of the second pass she is two feet from him and she does not increase her speed. The clip ends as she turns the corner at the far end, still browsing nothing.
