She Was Tying Her Shoe When She Noticed
Bent down to tie her shoe and when she looked up from ground level it was right there in her face. She tied that shoe really slowly after that.
About this scene
Department store aisle, late morning. She's down on one knee tying her shoe, the other knee on the linoleum, laces in her hands. She's mid-knot when she turns her head three inches to the left and the flash is at her exact eye level. She does not finish the knot. The laces drop. She stays in the kneeling position for about eight seconds and then slowly stands up without retying the shoe. She walks off with one shoe loose.
What to watch for
The unfinished knot is the casualty. She forgets about it completely. Watch her hands. They drop the laces and don't pick them back up. The laces remain undone for the rest of the clip. She walks off and her stride visibly shortens on the side with the loose shoe. About forty feet down the aisle she stops, looks down at her shoe, and crouches to tie it again. This time she finishes. The first attempt is the one the flash interrupted.
