It’s her store, she’s the boss, and she just watched a customer flash a bulge in her own shop. The power dynamic made it interesting. She stared longer than any employee would.

The customer at the counter has the bulge plainly visible from her angle. She looks up to ring him out. She processes the visual without changing her expression. She takes his card, swipes it, hands it back, and gives him his receipt. The transaction is professionally clean. He walks out. She makes eye contact with the camera once, then goes back to her clipboard.

The professionalism is the surprising part. Most retail workers would either look away or comment. She does neither. She handles the transaction at her normal pace and keeps her face neutral. The card swipe takes the standard three seconds. The receipt prints in the standard amount of time. There is no fumble. After he leaves she allows a small smile that doesn't reach her eyes and goes back to inventory. She has done this before.
