What to watch for
The realization is the beat sequence. One of them sees the gap first. Her face changes. The other notices her face change before she figures out why. Then the second one looks up and gets there. The duck-down attempt is half-hearted because they both know it won't help. The freeze at the end is them making eye contact with the camera. They do not say anything. The clip cuts before they decide what to do.
