About this scene
Beachfront shoreline, mid-afternoon, the wide stretch of wet sand where the foot traffic walks. She's in a small bikini bottom, walking the water line. Eighteen seconds, one clean unbroken shot from the dunes. She does not know about the camera. Her stride is unselfconscious in a way that's hard to fake. The angle catches her from behind in good light, with the wave foam coming up to her ankles every few steps. The wind moves her hair once.
What to watch for
The unposed walk is the entire video. Most beach footage is candid in name only. This one is candid in fact. Her hands swing naturally. Her hips don't perform. Her foot placement varies with the surface, which means she's actually paying attention to the sand, not the camera. The waves come in twice during the clip and she sidesteps both without looking down. The clip ends with her still walking the same direction at the same speed. No turn, no pose, no acknowledgment.
