About this scene
Mall corridor, mid-afternoon. She's a blonde in a casual outfit, slightly distracted, multitasking with her phone and a shopping bag. The flash is on the bench across the corridor. She tries to ignore it. She looks at five different products in nearby store windows, then her phone, then her bag, then up at the ceiling, then back at her phone. Every time she resets her gaze it ends up back at the bench. The whole loop runs for almost two minutes.
What to watch for
The drift pattern is the comedy. She is not trying to look. She is actively trying not to look. Each redirect lasts about four to seven seconds before her eyes snap back. The ceiling is the most absurd one because there is nothing on the ceiling. She is looking at the ceiling specifically because it is the opposite direction. After two minutes she gives up the pretense and just stands there watching openly for ten seconds before walking off.
