About this scene
Cosmetics aisle, weekday afternoon. She's a cute blonde, twenties, casual outfit, browsing slowly. She has clocked the flash from across the shelf. She picks up six different products in ninety seconds, examines each one, puts each one back. Her eyes go back to the same spot every time she resets. She is trying to look busy. She is failing visibly. Her selection of products is increasingly random and by the end she's holding shampoo on a face cream shelf.
What to watch for
The product roulette is the entire video. Each one she picks up gets a perfunctory inspection she clearly isn't reading. The eye drift between products is what gives her away. Five seconds on the bottle, two seconds across the aisle, repeat. The shampoo on the face cream shelf is the moment her cover collapses. She realizes she's holding the wrong category of product and puts it back on the wrong shelf anyway because she's stopped paying attention to the shopping entirely.
