About this scene
Outdoor festival walkway, weekend afternoon, foot traffic moderate. She's in a crop top and shorts, hair tied up, holding a drink. She turns the corner of a vendor tent and sees the flash from about fifteen feet away. She does not whisper. She does not nudge anyone. She raises her whole arm and points directly at it, and her mouth shapes a phrase you can read off her lips even without sound. The whole reaction takes one and a half seconds.
What to watch for
The full-arm point is the bold move. Most public reactions are subtle. Hers is the opposite. The arm goes up, the index finger extends, and her mouth shapes the word at the same time. Read her lips on the slow-motion. After the point she lowers the arm but keeps looking. Two of her friends near the tent turn to follow her finger, and the timing on their reactions is staggered by about a half-second each. The crop top stays in place the whole time.
